Miki’s Dog Grooming is a Gisborne groomer working from a purpose-built grooming trailer rather than a shop front. Dogs come to Miki, and she takes one at a time so the session stays calm and unhurried, which suits nervous dogs, older dogs and puppies having their first groom. She holds a Trauma Aware Dog Groomers membership through Sasha Riess, and in her own words minimal restraint is used, with no noose and no harnesses. If getting the dog there is difficult, pick-up can be arranged for an additional charge. Bookings are by appointment.
