About
Miki’s Dog Grooming is a Gisborne groomer working from a purpose-built grooming trailer rather than a shop front. Dogs come to Miki, and she takes one at a time so the session stays calm and unhurried, which suits nervous dogs, older dogs and puppies having their first groom. She holds a Trauma Aware Dog Groomers membership through Sasha Riess, and in her own words minimal restraint is used, with no noose and no harnesses. If getting the dog there is difficult, pick-up can be arranged for an additional charge. Bookings are by appointment.
Services & Highlights
- Full Groom: wash, dry, nails, sanitary trim, ear clean, full body haircut, face tidy and scissor finish
- Mini Groom: wash, dry, nails, sanitary trim, ear clean and eye trim
- De-shed Groom: double-coat shampoo and conditioner, undercoat removal, brush and comb finish
- Puppy Socialisation Groom, built up gradually over as many sessions as the puppy needs
- Dry clip for dogs up to 16kg, pre-washed, dried and brushed at home
- Individual services: nail trim up to 20kg, ear clean, eye trim, sanitary clip, pad and paw trim and toothbrushing
- Add-ons: shampoo and conditioner upgrades, anal gland express, deep ear cleaning and a berry facial
- Grooming for dogs up to 16kg, one dog at a time, with low-restraint handling and no noose or harnesses
